Series of events mark Sarojini Devi’s 37th death anniversary

Jamshedpur, Dec 7: Sarojini Memorial Trust (SMT) observed 37th death anniversary of Sarojini Devi at Durga Puja Ground near Chinmaya Vidyalaya in South Park, Bistupur on Tuesday, December 7. The proceedings commenced with prayer rituals performed by trust chairman MS Shekhar Rao, his wife M Venkat Lakshmi, other family members and members of the trust. Later, food was served to 351 poor and they were also provided clothes by Shekhar Rao’s son MV Karthik, son in-law I Santosh and daughter M Madhuri. 

In the evening, the family members organized special meals for 101 Sadhus and they were gifted blankets. Later in the evening, a Bhajan Sandhya was organized in which popular devotional singer Krishnamurthy and team performed.

It is worth mentioning that Sarojini Technical Institute is the oldest and most trusted technical institute in Jamshedpur.
