Series of events mark Earth Day at SDSM

Jamshedpur: S.D.S.M. School for Excellence and Mission Awareness jointly organized the Earth Day from 18^th to 22^nd April 2019 in the school premises. To arouse the feeling of significance of the mother earth amongst the children, various competitions were organized such as Drawing, Speech in Hindi & English and Skit presentation etc. Winners of various events were encouraged by giving away the prizes in the assembly. Prizes were also given away in three categories i.e. Drawing, Skit & Speech Competition on the final day i.e. 22^nd April 2019.�

Eco Club teachers Diya Adhikary and Neelam Jha were awarded for their continuous effort towards maintaining the Eco Club activities. To safeguard our nature in the school ambience Eco & SAFE Club of the School inaugurated the Herbal Garden on 22^nd April which is a significant drive towards infusing the sense of preservation of our nature among the students. A Rally was also organized comprising of IX & XI class students.

On 22^nd April 2019, Principal, Moushumi Das, Vice-Principal, Ragini Singh, Pre & Primary Co-ordinator, Sanghamitra Mohanty and the Chief Guest Sanjeev Srivastav, National Secretary of INTUC, Special Guest, Amarnath Tiwary, Vice President, JUSCO Shramik Union and the distinguished guests from Mission Awareness Anjan Mitra, Sneha Kumari were present on the occasion.

It was a proud moment for the school that Mission Awareness (India�s Leading Social Services Organization) felicitated to our school with GO � GREEN AWARD 2018 for active participation towards the preservation of mother earth.

Anjan Mitra one of our distinguished guests encouraged the children towards the significance of saving our nature and passing on the legacy to the future in his speech.
