Jamshedpur, May 10: The fun filled moments in the form of summer camp at Jusco School South Park concluded in the closing ceremony held today in the multipurpose hall of the school.
A.F. Madon, Administrator, JEM Foundation graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Souvik Saha from “People for Change” also graced the ceremony as the Guest of Honour.
This camp was organized by the school from 6th May to 10th May 2017. A total of 85 Students from UKG to Std. VI had participated in the camp.
The students of Junior Group through displayed their elegance an entertaining Ramp walk based on the theme “The Pride of India” depicting the famous personalities from the field of Sports.
The Senior Group students exhibited their dynamism through a melodramatic dance drama “Masala Movie Magic” based on the 60 year journey of popular Hindi cinema.
The children also showcased their acting and singing skills through the Play “Snowhite and the Seven dwarfs” and “Medley of Songs”. They were trained for these programmes during the Dance, Rampwalk, Singing and theatre workshop held during the camp.
Scientific concepts were made clearer with simple and engaging toy making in the Fun with Science workshop.
Children learnt to appreciate the beauty and creativity through Art and Craft workshops where they learnt making water candle, origami art, Best out of waste, Paper lantern, Flexi wire jewellery.
The sumptuous food item and ice creams served during the camp made the children happier. A special attraction this year was the “Rain dance”, thoroughly enjoyed by students beating the heat and tapping their feet on popular bollywood numbers under the gentle and soothing showers and sprinkles.
Apart from this, the students also gained knowledge about cooking without flame, making a compost pit and table etiquettes .
The students were awarded the Certificates of Appreciation by the Chief Guest during the closing ceremony. They also received attractive return gifts from the school.
Altogether it was a fun time where the school created an opportunity for kids to focus on elevating the creative skills and boosting their “confidence” -the most important behavioral trait .
The ceremony was also graced by the presence of Principal Mrs. Shovna De, Vice Principal Mrs. Mili Sinha, School Coordinators K. Jaishree and Mrs. Soma Banerjee along with the teachers and staff.
