Seraikela: Sick school teacher RKS Munda passes away for want of treatment

Saraikela, August 22: Secondary school teacher Raj Kishore Singh Munda posted at Shatrughan Project Girls High School in Chandil passed away on Sunday night for want of proper treatment. Munda was a victim of paralytic attack and had been confined to bed for almost a year. His financial condition was very bad as his salary for six months had been held up by the DEO’s office. The Headmistress-in-Charge of the Shatrughan Project Girls High School Mamata Gope provided the information of Raj Kishore singh Munda’s demise.

It may be mentioned that Munda, who had been on medical leave over a long period of time due to his illness, could not afford proper medical treatment due to his pecuniary constraints.

 Recently, all teachers of the district had taken the initiative for pooling in their personal monetary contributions for their colleague’s treatment. The teachers’ fraternity was gearing up to admit Munda to Tata Main Hospital for treatment but he passed away on Sunday night. The entire teaching fraternity was saddened by Raj Kishore Singh Munda’s demise.

 Jharkhand State Secondary Teachers’ Association’s Seraikela-Kharsawan District Secretary Narayan Kumar said, “RKS Munda’s death and the circumstances that led to his death are very painful. All of us pray for the peace of his soul. May God give the bereaved family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. The entire teachers’ fraternity stands by the bereaved family at this hour of grief.”

Condolence meetings were held in all schools of the district.
