Seraikela SDM issues prohibitory orders at intermediate examination centers

Seraikela, March 23: Saraikela Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Ram Krishna Kumar imposed prohibitory orders around the 30 metric and intermediate examination centers to maintain peace, law and order during the examinations from Thursday. The SDM, Seraikela, while issuing prohibitory orders within 100 meters of the prescribed examination centers, had directed that from March 24 to April 25, according to dates of examination issued by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) at Ranchi. Prohibitory orders would remain in force between 8 am and 7 pm during examination dates. According to the SDM’s orders, athering of 5 or more than 5 persons within a radius of 100 meters around the examination centers, loitering around the centres, and distribution of books or parts thereof to examinees would be prohibited. The orders have put a ban on processions, fairs, use of loudspeakers within a radius of 100 meters of the exam centres. The prohibitory orders also include ban on carrying lethal weapons like arrow, bow, spear, firearms and explosives. However, the ban will not be effective in cases of funeral processions and marriage ceremonies, carrying of kripans by Sikhs and khukri by Nepali soldiers while carrying out duties. There will be a ban on the entry of persons other than the examinees, deputation of magistrates, police officers, police forces, examination operators and center superintendent and officers and personnel engaged in examination work within a radius of one hundred meters of the examination centre. At present, to prevent the infection and spread of COVID -19, the guidelines issued by the Jharkhand Government will be followed in letter and spirit.

SDO inspects metric and intermediate examination centres

Simultaneously, SDO Satyavir Rajak directed the Block Education Extension Officer to ensure that all shortcomings in arrangements were rectified posthaste. BDO Rajesh Kumar Sahu, CO Jitray Murmu and other officials were present during the SDO’s inspection.
