Seraikela Lockdown: 13 checkpoints come up

Seraikela, May 15: Seraikela Kharsawan district administratin will be putting up 13 checkposts on entry points to the district which would be effective from Sunday morning 6 am till May 27 morning. 

Deputy commissioner Arava Rajkamal said that complete prohibition would be enforced on plying of taxis, autorickshaw, bus, e-rickshaw and rickshaws. However, commercial vehicles will be allowed to ferry persons to hospitals. 

At all the 13 checkpoints, police, magistrates and health team would be deputed and handwash, sanitizers, bleaching powder, masks and gloves would be kept at the checkpoints. 

Seraikela, May 15: A three member team led by Seraikela-Kharswan acting civil surgeon, Dr Warial Mardi inspected the 111 Save Life Hospital in Adityapur on allegation of the private hospital management charging more fees from patients during Covid pandemic. 

Incidentally, health minister Banna Gupta had received complaints about the hospital and during the inspection eight patients were found admitted in the hospital out of which seven were Covid patients and one cancer patient. 

When the patients were enquired about fees charged the hospital management did not allow any patient’s relatives to meet the team. 

The team also found shortcomings in fire safety, pollution certificates and rate chart.
