Seraikela-Kharsawan police ready for peaceful polls

Seraikela: District police of Seraikela-Kharsawan police will be vigilant during the polls tomorrow with huge deployment of forces in the Naxalite-hit areas. The superintendent of police Madan Mohan Lal said police will be deployed at all the hills in remote parts of the district to ensure free and fair polling at all election booths.

The SP said preparations for the elections had been made. He said security will be beefed up at all booths. Sensitive booths will have additional forces for the protection of EVMs and voters as well as poll duty staff, he said.

�We are all ready for the elections tomorrow. There are a total of 250 highly sensitive and 347 sensitive election booths in the district. We will be keeping vigil on these booths through security personnel and sophisticated equipments. Various paramilitary forces will assist police in ensuring a free and fair conduct of polls,� said the SP.

The SP said adequate security deployment had been made across the district. The areas of Kharsawan, Kuchai, Chandil, Chowka and Nimdih will be under special vigil. A vehicle checking drive is also on to inspect vehicles, he said.
