Seraikela, Oct 14: District Social Welfare Officer Satya Thakur undertook a comprehensive inspection of various Anganwadi centers, accompanied by the issuance of crucial directives for the betterment of the facilities.
During the visit to Anganwadi Center Kanderbera-1, particular concern arose due to the deteriorating condition of the center’s infrastructure.
In response, DSWO Thakur recommended relocating the center to a more suitable space, such as a school building or an alternative facility. Furthermore, Thakur provided valuable guidance to the mother of one-year-old Savita Tudu, emphasizing the importance of sending her child to the MCC (Maternal and Child Care) program and promoting healthy eating habits.
In addition to this, the Anganwadi workers received clear instructions to ensure 100% attendance of the children under their care. During a visit to Anganwadi Center Kanderbera-2, Thakur noticed school-going children in attendance and advised them to attend school regularly, affirming the importance of formal education.
A similar approach was adopted during the inspection of Anganwadi Center Purisili, where the women present received valuable insights on the significance of maintaining a nutritious diet and ensuring proper vaccination. On this occasion, Thakur distributed RTE (Right to Education) pamphlets and provided essential information regarding their correct usage.
