Seraikela DC orders action against illegal mining

Seraikela: Seraikela-Kharsawan DC Chhavi Ranjan here on Monday ordered mining officials to intensify operation against illegal crusher units and sand miners in the district. He said illegal mining and quarrying activities will not be tolerated in the district. He was addressing a meeting of the district mining task force at his office.
The DC directed the district mining officer to make available a list of crushers being run in Seraikela-Kharsawan. He said the illegal crusher units should be shut down immediately. He further asked the pollution department officials to conduct raids in industrial units.
