Seraikela, Oct 22: Six modern intensive care unit (ICU) beds will be built at the Sadar Hospital in Seraikela at a cost of about Rs 40 lakh.
Seraikela Kharsawan Deputy Commissioner Arva Rajkamal inspected the Sadar Hospital regarding the said ICU beds to be made from the CSR funding of GAIL India.
The Deputy Commissioner interacted with the representative of GAIL India and the civil surgeon and obtained information regarding the building and construction work. And instructed to start the construction work at the earliest. In the course of the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner while inspecting the two lifts being built in Sadar Hospital directed the contractor to start the construction work at the earliest.
Along with this, asked the civil surgeon to continuously monitor the construction work of ICU beds and lifts. On the occasion, he thanked the GAIL India senior officials and the entire team for cooperating with the administration in strengthening the health facility in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner said that contractor has been selected by GAIL India.
The deputy commissioner said that it is often seen that at the time of any kind of incident and accident, the patient have to be referred to MGM or Tata Main Hospital (TMH) in Jamshedpur in critical condition. In which there is a risk of death of the patients. And many patients even die. With six ICU beds in the district, patients will be able to get proper care and treatment in such an emergency situation in the district itself.
