Ranchi: Deputy Commissioner of Seraikela has given presentation related to the preparations for the Chhau Mahotsav going to kick-start on April 5.
He said that as per religious calendar the Seraikela Chhau Festival would be held from April 5 to April 13, 2015 with events including Chhau competition, dance presentation by the renowned artistes, and Swadeshi Mela.
Invitations are being sent to renowned artistes in the field of different states. He said that the festival would be held on a grand scale so that it gets international recognition.
The DC said that a souvenir named as �Mahuri� would also be released on the occasion. Book Fair and Trade Fair would also be organized on the sidelines of the Chhau Festival, the DC said.
The chief minister after the presentation said that renovation of Chhau Centre, stage and auditorium be done at the earliest.
