Seraikela: Ayurvedic herbal gardens in 12 Ayush villages

Seraikela, July 13: The District Ayurvedic Department, which promotes pure natural medicine without side effects, has planned gardens for growing medicinal plants for environmental and medicinal development. A meeting was held at the District Ayurvedic Dispensary, chaired by Dr Vipin Chandra Gupta, the District Ayurvedic Officer, along with all community health officers.

During the meeting, it was stated that the plantation of medicinal herbs and plants with a focus on health development and greenery will be carried out in all 12 Ayush villages throughout the district. The responsibility for the protection and development of these plantations was also assigned. The caretakers of Ayush villages were entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring protection and growth of medicinal plants.

The Ayurvedic medicinal plantations will be set up in Brahmakutumb, Murumdiha and Kadako villages of Rajnagar block; Kashidih, Siddhagora and Bordih in Nimdih block; Burudih, Dehuridih and Raidih in Kharsawan block and Jagannathpur, Dumra and Rajgaon in Gamharia block.

During the meeting, discussions were also held on raising awareness in Ayush villages. The target set for completion of stting up these plantations in all 12 villages was July 31.

 Dr Vipin Chandra Gupta, the District Ayurvedic Officer, mentioned that health check-up camps for the elderly will be organized in 25 Health and Wellness Centers across the district including Saraikela, Rangpur, Raidih, Kharsawan, Burudih Kharsawan, Jordiha, Kuchai, Dalbhanga, Rajnagar, Brahmakutumb, Govindpur, Icha, Gamharia, Adityapur, Chandil, Ichagarh, Janum, Tiruldih, Nimdih, Burudih Nimdih, Khunti, Bansha, Dumra, Ganjia and Jumal. Elderly individuals will undergo health check-ups and receive Ayurvedic treatment. They will also be made aware that the government, district administration and Ayurvedic Department were committed to their better health.  The meeting was attended by Dr Vinay Chandra Majhi, a homeopathic doctor, along with all community health officers.
