Agriculture Minister inaugurates fish market in Chaibasa

Jamshedpur, July 13: West Singhbhum, known for its mineral-rich resources, is set to undergo a remarkable transformation as it takes steps to become a thriving fish cultivation hub. The state government has embarked on an initiative to convert exhausted and abandoned mines into large-scale fish ponds, with the aim of promoting fish production in the region.

In a significant development, Badal Patralekh, the Minister of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Cooperative Department, inaugurated a fish market in Chaibasa, West Singhbhum. The inauguration marked the beginning of the government’s visionary plan to harness the potential of this mining belt and turn it into a productive fish production hub.
