Seraikela agriculture office clerk arrested by ACB for accepting bribe

Jamshedpur, June 14: A clerk in the office of the District Agriculture Officer in Seraikela-Kharswan district was caught red-handed by the sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau while accepting bribe today, ACB sources said.

The arrest was made on the basis of a complaint registered with the ACB, by one Raj Kishore Gupta, a resident of Ichagarh police station limit of the district.

In his complaint, Gupta, who deals in seeds and fertiliser, accused the clerk Sachin Kumar of demanding Rs 9000 to move file in regard with his shop pending with the District Agriculure Officer-cum-Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer.
Based on the complaint, source said ACB verified the allegation made by Gupta and found it to be true.

Accordingly, a team of ACB led by Amar Kumar Pandey laid a trap and arrested Sachin while he was accepting Rs 9000 bribe today.
