Jamshedpur, March 10: An unidentified senior citizen was seriously injured in a road accident near Golmuri Chowk on Friday.
Sources said the mishap occurred when the victim was walking on the main road. The truck, going towards Agrico from Golmuri, knocked him down. The old man was taken to Tinplate Hospital where his condition was reportedly serious. Police have registered a case of reckless driving against the errant truck driver. They said the mishap was caused by over-speeding and rash driving by the truck driver.
