Ranchi, Aug. 4: Governor Draupadi Murmu on Friday extended her best wishes to the students of Women�s College, Ranchi during the Graduation Day function held in the college premises. She said that it is glad to see that the college has played a pivotal role in women education. Many of the students of the college have succeeded in their lives as the faculty members are always ready to teach the learners.
Governor further addressing the gathering after handing over the graduation certificates to the students, said, discipline is a part of education and the teachers help in all round development of the student. The teachers should teach the students like mother and other staff should also behave normally. The girls should be knowledgeable and morally and characteristically strong.
‘Simple living and high thinking should be their way of living. The nation wants their contribution and they should come up with innovative ideas. They should make such a precedent that this college becomes a prime venue of learning and knowledge in the nation’, said, Governor, adding, ‘Just obtaining the degree should not be the aim of the students, they should make their identity and always move towards excellence and prove to be role models.
She said that women are coming out of the boundary of houses and proving to be good doctors, engineers, scientists, educationists, police and administrative officers. So every girl should be sent to school and people around should also be encouraged to send their girls for education’
She further said that the pace of higher education in women is rather slow. The govt. is running a special campaign �Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao� to ensure this. Education of a girl means education of a family. Girls have to be confident and self dependent.
