Ranchi, Aug. 4: Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma today said the women supervisors and Sahiyas of the state to play their role in providing social security to all the people of the state and asked them to play their active role in this regard. Chairing a review meeting of the Women and Child Development Department here, she said they need to make sure that benefits received under various social security schemes reach to the last man of the society and asked them to make sure that Aadhar enrolment of the infants, vaccinations for expecting mothers and vaccination of children is done on time and also encourage institutional delivery.

The CS said that in six districts 10387 poshan sakhis would be selected by the district officials very soon and they too would be playing a vital role in making the state pollution free. The Chief Secretary said benefits among the beneficiaries of Ladli Laxmi Yojana and Mukhyamantri Kanydaan Yojana be paid through DBT and also asked the anganwadi kendras to prepare a list of malnourished children.

Verma said malnutrition was a big challenge before the state and the Chief Minister has set a target to make a malnutrition free Jharkhand in which they have to play their important role and even the anganwadi kendras would be made responsible in fight against malnutrition. She said rosters should be pared in anganbari centres whre the Aadhar enrolment of the infants was complete so that mother and child trafficking system can be implemented and the children be provided vaccination and nourishment supplements in time.

Verma asked to make sure that expecting women are given the first and third ANC on time and they should be taken to hospitals for institutional delivery. She said like in rural areas in urban areas too the sahiyas and seviaks be tagged with private hospitals so that Aadhar enrolment of infants can be done.

The CS said such hospitals be tagged which have been provided trade license by the municipal bodies while ward wise camps for Aadhar enrolment be held in the municipal areas. She said in every anganbari centre the vaccination should be done on time. She said the benefits of all the schemes run by the central and the state government be done through DBT.

Verma said Aadhar seeding work be done of beneficiaries so that in future they can be provided benefits under DBT. She said that honorarium be paid to Sahiyakas and Sahiays through DBT. She said action should be taken against such sahiyas and sevikas who do not construct toilets by August 30.
