Jamshedpur: Earth Day was celebrated with fervour at Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial College, Karandih, on Saturday.
The deputy collector of Chief Minister�s Camp Office Sanjay Kumar visited the campus and discussed the significance of the day with the students and teachers. He proposed to carry out �selfie with tree� campaign and post the pictures in social media to create awareness. He said trees were very important for the existence of humanity and conservation of environment.
Many students and teachers participated in the event. They also shared ideas to save the environment and create awareness on environment conservation among the people.
Among those present on the occasion included Vinod Kumar, Dr Sanchita Bhuisen, Manju Karmakar, Nandini, Sunny Kumar, Jasvir Singh, Nayan Ranjan Mandal, Sushant Hansda, Jagannath Pal, Avinash Gope and Ravi Kisku.
