Seed Day celebrated with green initiatives at KPS Kadma

Jamshedpur: Seed Day was celebrated at Kerala Public School, Kadma, on September 2 at the school auditorium from 8:30 to 9:30 am with the aim of instilling environmental awareness among young learners. Principal Sharmila Mukherjee and Headmistress Alamelu Ravishankar were present on the occasion. The programme began with an address by the Principal, who highlighted the eco-friendly activities undertaken by students of the pre-primary and primary sections. Students performed a song, a powerful street play (Nukkad Natak) on saving Mother Earth, and delivered speeches spreading awareness about environmental protection. A germination activity was also conducted, where children sowed seeds in pots, learning about different varieties found in India. Dignitaries joined the students in planting seeds, supporting the mission of “Going Green.” A musical skit on “Save Earth” and “Say No to Plastic” showcased students’ enthusiasm for sustainability. Headmistress Alamelu Ravishankar appreciated the efforts, while student Shreya Singha Roy proposed the vote of thanks.
