Jamshedpur: In preparation for the Ram Navami immersion procession scheduled for the forthcoming weeks, the District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner and the Senior Superintendent of Police chaired a comprehensive review meeting. Attended by key administrative and police officials including DDC, City SP, Rural SP, PD ITDA, ADM, and others, the meeting aimed to ensure robust law and order maintenance during the festive event.
Addressing the assembly, District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner, Ananya Mittal emphasized the paramount importance of vigilance and swift decision-making in handling any arising situations. “Officers should remain alert, sensitive, and proactive, ready to make quick decisions as per the prevailing circumstances,” stated Mittal.
Echoing Mittal’s sentiments, Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishore Kaushal stressed the adherence to the designated procession route without any deviations. “Physical verification of the procession route by all police station in-charges is imperative to ensure seamless conduct of the immersion procession,” noted Kaushal.
At the Collectorate Auditorium in Jamshedpur, a detailed review meeting was held between District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, and Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal, along with other administrative and police officials. The discussions centered on maintaining law and order during the Ram Navami immersion procession, emphasizing the importance of a peaceful and orderly conduct of the event.
To enhance security measures, it was decided to illuminate the procession route adequately and monitor the event through CCTV cameras and drones. Mittal reiterated the administration’s commitment to ensuring a peaceful atmosphere during the procession, emphasizing the need for alternative lighting arrangements in case of power outages, along with other logistical arrangements.
Furthermore, instructions were issued to install watch towers at vantage points along the ghats, deploy essential facilities such as ambulances, divers, fire brigades, and volunteers with proper identification cards, and maintain cleanliness at river ghats. Stringent measures were also outlined regarding the licensing of DJ operators and the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct.
Senior Superintendent of Police Kaushal emphasized the deployment of an adequate number of police forces, stringent monitoring of sensitive areas through CCTV and drone cameras, and vigilance against any suspicious activities or incidents. Active engagement with local sources and strict action against those spreading religious or communal hatred were also highlighted.
The meeting, attended by various officials including Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, City SP Mukesh Lunayat, Rural SP Rishabh Garg, PD IDTA Mr. Dipankar Chaudhary, ADM Law and Order Ananth Kumar, Civil Surgeon Dr. Jujhar Majhi, municipal body representatives, and other stakeholders, underscored the collaborative efforts to ensure a safe and peaceful Ram Navami immersion procession.
