Security guard assaulted in Jubilee Park, one arrested

Jamshedpur, May 20: In an unfortunate incident, Suraj, a security guard at Jubilee Park located under Bistupur police station, was brutally attacked by three youths on Saturday. Local residents rushed to the scene and attempted to intervene, causing the three assailants to flee. However, the public managed to apprehend one of the culprits. The incident was immediately reported to the police, who promptly arrived at the spot and took the detained youth into custody.

It has been revealed that the arrested individual is a minor. Following the assault, Suraj was immediately taken to MGM Hospital for medical treatment. He received necessary care for a head injury sustained during the attack. Recounting the events, Suraj, the security personnel, stated that on Friday, a young man had visited Jubilee Park accompanied by his female friend. Regrettably, the young man engaged in inappropriate behavior within the park premises, prompting complaints from other park visitors. In response, fellow security personnel advised both individuals to leave the premises. However, on Saturday morning at eight o’clock, the same young man returned to the park accompanied by his friends and launched a violent assault on Suraj, employing a belt and a stick as weapons.
