Jamshedpur: With the festive occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr approaching, the District Administration of Jamshedpur has implemented heightened security measures to ensure a peaceful and harmonious celebration across the city. As the Muslim community prepares to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, authorities are leaving no stone unturned to maintain law and order while facilitating smooth festivities.
Under the vigilant supervision of District Collector Ananya Mittal, a detailed security plan has been formulated, incorporating multi-layered safety protocols to counter potential threats and maintain public order. A total of 110 magistrates will be deployed strategically throughout Jamshedpur, working in tandem with law enforcement agencies to oversee security operations during the celebrations.
Speaking on the security arrangements, DC Ananya Mittal emphasized meticulous planning and inter-agency coordination to ensure public safety. “Our priority is to create a secure environment where everyone can observe Eid-ul-Fitr peacefully. We have mobilized a robust force, including police personnel, CRPF, RAF, home guards, and auxiliary forces, to strengthen security across the city,” said Mittal.
Security measures include: Round-the-clock patrolling in sensitive areas, Strategic deployment of pickets at key locations, Increased surveillance through CCTV monitoring and Snap security checks at major entry and exit points
Additionally, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishore Kaushal outlined the deployment of mobile units, motorcycle patrols, and foot patrol teams to maintain a visible security presence and ensure rapid response to any emerging security concerns. He reassured the public of the administration’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace, stating, “We are fully prepared to address any security challenges that may arise. Our officers are on high alert to safeguard all citizens during the festivities.”
Recognizing the importance of communal harmony, the administration has been actively engaging with local leaders through peace committee meetings. These initiatives aim to foster dialogue and build mutual trust among different communities, ensuring a collective commitment to peaceful celebrations.
The police have also urged citizens to report any suspicious activities immediately. Security advisories have been issued, encouraging responsible celebrations while emphasizing cooperation with law enforcement officials.
To facilitate smooth movement during the festival, authorities have implemented special traffic regulations in key areas where Eid prayers and large gatherings are expected. Dedicated personnel will be stationed at major mosques and Eidgahs to manage crowds effectively and prevent congestion. Temporary barricades will be placed in high-traffic zones to streamline pedestrian and vehicular movement.
As Jamshedpur gears up for Eid-ul-Fitr, the concerted efforts of the district administration, law enforcement agencies, and community stakeholders reflect a shared commitment to fostering unity and goodwill. With stringent security measures and proactive policing in place, residents can look forward to a joyous and incident-free celebration, embracing the spirit of harmony and brotherhood that Eid symbolizes.
