Jamshedpur: The East Singhbhum district administration has strengthened security arrangements and special vigilance at 12 picnic spots for December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026, celebrations.
Water tankers and mobile toilets will be stationed at the Dimna Lake, one of the most frequented picnic venues. To provide a safe passage to the revelers, the district administration will deploy 28 magistrates, 19 police officers, teams of lathi-wielding policemen, women police force, and cops in plainclothes in and around the venues.
Top officials of the district administration have been issued instructions to maintain special vigilance in the district between December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026. In view of the expected crowds at 12 major picnic spots in East Singhbhum district, the district administration has issued a security alert. The heightened security deployment is scheduled to be effective from December 25 to January 8. Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi and SSP Piyush Pandey have issued a joint order regarding this. The Mango Municipal Corporation has been directed to arrange for the movement of QRTs, water tankers, and mobile toilets near the Dimna Lake in case of any untoward incident. Additionally, divers and swimmers will also be stationed at Dimna Lake and near the Subarnarekha River to prevent any untoward incident.
Magistrates, police officers, and police forces have been deployed at five places around Dimna Lake, Jubilee Park Gate, and inside Modi Park, HUDCO Park, Telco, Theme Park Telco, Sidgora Park, Bhatia Park Kadma, Domukhani Subarnarekha River Ghat, Jadugoda Rankini Temple, Rajdoha Bridge Narwa Mines, Galudih Dam, Burudih Dam. Apart from this, instructions have been given to check for compliance with traffic rules at the main intersections of the district, to make special security arrangements, and to conduct routine checks in Kamalpur, Patmda, Bodam, and MGM.
