Ranchi: In connection with encroachment on forest land in Chatra, Secretary to the Jharkhand CM, Sunil Kumar Barnwal, today directed state authorities concerned to take action against the guilty officers. He said such situations occur because the foresters don�t move in their areas. He directed the state officials to write to the Principal Conservator of Forest to ensure action on such officers.
Barnwal also directed the officials to return the money of West Singhbhum dealers who had deposited draft and money last year and still no food grain was delivered to them. He said if the instructions are not followed, the the PDS Manager and DSO should be immediately suspended. He sought a report in this connection in a week.
On the people of Chatarpur, Palamu not having received LPG cylinders for the last two years, the Secretary directed the PDS nodal officer to look into the matter and sort it out in 15 days. A show cause notice was issued to the nodal officer in this regard.
Barnwal said if the accused is not arrested, charge sheet should be submitted in the court. He was cross over Dhanbad car bike collision episode where a car hit a stationary bike and people boarding the car were badly beaten up in the incident. One person died in the aftermath.
Barnwal also asked the state officials concerned to get the issue of 30 bedded hospital in Palamu reviewed by the DC and submit a report why no development could take place during the last eight years. He said the mater should be resolved fat and report submitted in 15 days.
The nodal officers were directed by the Secretary to implement the rules. Apart from these, many other cases were dealt by the secretary.
Barnwal said that so far as disposal of complaints are concerned, East Singhbhum is lagging behind. Palamu, the second last from below has been directed to improve its performance. Dhanbad nodal officer was directed to sort out complaints one by one and Saraikela �Kharsawan nodal officer was directed to improve condition or specify why things could not improve in one week. Garhwa nodal officer was asked to improve the situation and asked to specify in two weeks why things did not improve.
