Jamshedpur, Feb 15: The second phase of COVID-19 vaccine will focus on police personnel and army men. SSP M Tamil Vanan, who was administered with COVID-19 vaccine, appealed to all the police personnel in the district to come forward and get administered with the COVID-19 vaccine. Several police personnel and army men are coming forward to take this vaccine.
” I have taken part in the vaccination drive and got administered the COVID-19 vaccine. I have appealed to the police personnel to come forward and take part in this vaccination drive,” Vanan.
An official of the health department said that the second phase of the campaign has started and that the vaccine is completely safe. “ We advise all the frontline workers to come forward and get vaccinated. The police must carry out efforts to make the people aware of this vaccine and make sure that they come forward with confidence and take part in this vaccination drive,” he said.
He said that during the pandemic the doctors, paramedical staff, health workers and health department authorities have done a tremendous job, even putting their lives at risk.
In the second phase, frontline warriors from various departments, including police personnel, staff of panchayat and revenue officials will be getting the shots.
To ensure Covid protocol, police personnel will be deployed in each centre. Arrangements have been made for facilitating vaccination for 100 people at each centre.
