Jamshedpur: The campus of S.D.S.M. School for Excellence was filled with a blend of nostalgia and ambition on February 10, as the institution hosted its annual farewell ceremony for the outgoing Class XII batch. The traditional “lighting of the lamp” ceremony, led by Principal Moushumi Das, signaled the beginning of a vibrant transition for the students.
The programme was marked by a series of cultural performances, including a welcome song, energetic dance numbers, a musical mashup, and an engaging ramp walk, which added colour and excitement to the occasion. Esteemed jury members were present to grace the event and encourage the students.
During the programme, Rishav Ray of Class XII-A and Jasprit Kaur of Class XII-D were crowned Mr and Ms S.D.S.M. School for Excellence, drawing loud applause from the audience.
Addressing the students, Principal Mrs Moushumi Das urged them to move ahead in life with confidence, passion, and honesty. She emphasised the importance of truthfulness, respect for others, self-discipline, and gratitude, stating that these values would help shape them into responsible and compassionate individuals.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving the students with cherished memories as they prepare for the next phase of their journey.
