Jamshedpur, August 11: An English choral recitation competition was organized at S.D.S.M. School for Excellence on Tuesday.
The objective behind organizing this competition was to create willingness for the art of poetry among the students.
The judges of this competition were primary and pre-primary co-ordinator Ms Meera Pal and Senior English teacher Sanjeet Singh.
The students were judged on Co-ordination, expression, posture, discipline and presentation.
The competition was divided into two groups. Group A comprised Std. I & II. Group B comprised Std. III, IV & V. The poems were based on sounds, travelling world, daily items etc.
The Principal of the school Mrs. Shyamali Virdi appreciated the students for their presentation and motivated them to develop the art of poetry. Class II B and class IV B were declared winners in group A and group B respectively.
