SDSM School celebrates Shiksha Saptah with cultural and educational activities

Jamshedpur, July 27: S.D.S.M. School for Excellence celebrated Shiksha Saptah under the Ministry of Education from 22nd to 28th July 2024, commemorating the 4th Anniversary of NEP 2020. The week featured various activities aimed at promoting India’s cultural diversity and educational objectives.

On the first day, TLM Day, activities varied across different educational levels. The foundational level engaged in storytelling, exhibitions, thumb painting, and folklore. Preparatory level students participated in workshops for chart marking, color boxes, mask, and card making. Middle and secondary level students attended workshops on toy and puppet making, along with creating posters, slogans, and wall charts.

The second day, FLN Day, involved students and teachers taking the NIPUN Pledge. Parents were invited to a screening of the FLN Film to enhance understanding and awareness of its objectives.

On the third day, Sports Day, the PET teacher discussed the importance of indigenous games, followed by outdoor game competitions.

Cultural Day on the fourth day highlighted India’s cultural diversity with performances of folk dances and songs by students, teachers, and parents.

Skilling Day on the fifth day included field activities at parks and dairy farms, along with workshops on coding challenges, first aid, and bag making.

The final two days, Eco-Club and Community Involvement Day, featured a plantation drive with students and mothers participating, the display of placards through a rally, and a Vidyanjali logo making and awareness program. The week concluded with a successful plantation drive by the Eco Club students and teachers.
