Jamshedpur : S.D.S.M. school for Excellence, Sidhgora, Jamshedpur has won the All India Competition on Innovation Practices and Experiments in Education of Schools and Teacher Education Institutions organized by the N.C.E.R.T. (National Council for Educational Research and Training, held at New Delhi.
The project was presented by the Principal of the school Moushumi Das at a seminar in New Delhi held on the 26th and 27th of June 2018. The victory fetches the school a cash award of Rs 10,000/ and a certificate. Altogether 29 Projects were shortlisted from the 200 Project proposals.
The project titled, “Teenagers of tomorrow through life skill experience” was co-ordinated by Abha Vishwakarma under the guidance and leadership of the principal of the school. The project was designed to cover the TEN core Life Skills underlined by World Health Organization.
At S.D.S.M. School for Excellence, we believe that developing Life Skills helps adolescents in translating knowledge, attitude and values into healthy behaviour that makes their life fruitful. Life skills are efficacious tools for empowering youth to act responsibly, take initiative and take control.
