Jamshedpur, July 31: The expansive Adityapur Industrial Area may soon get posting of SDPO to cover Adityapur, Gamharia, RIT and Kandra police stations. The modalities have been worked out and the final seal is awaited. Posts for two SDPOs, one DSP (HQ) and one SP (operations) for the district are already in place. Among these, Adityapur is on top of the list for an SDPO�s posting. According to the present setup of Saraikela-Kharsawan district Adityapur, Gamharia, Kandra, RIT, Saraikela and other police stations in the district are under the charge of Saraikela SDPO. When asked, the district SP Md Arshi said that he could speak only after looking into the matter. The Adityapur Industrial Area comprises more than 1,200 working units and the population, according to locals is big enough to be an Assembly constituency in itself.
