Jamshedpur: Dhalbhum SDO Madhvi Mishra warned the traders of Jugsalai against encroaching roads and drains for the purpose of carrying out their daily business. She issued the warning at a meeting held at Jugsalai Municipality on Wednesday.
Addressing the meeting, the SDO said legal action would be taken against those found encroaching the roads and drains. She said the drains should be kept free from unauthorized constructions so that they could be cleaned from time to time.
The SDO asked the Jugsalai traders to stop using plastic as heavy fines would be imposed on violators.
Earlier today, an anti-encroachment drive was launched by the Jugsalai Municipality and district traffic police. Several unauthorized structures were demolished in Gwalpara.
Today�s meeting was also attended by Special Officer of Jugsalai Municipality Surendra Prasad, DSP traffic Vivekanand Thakur, DSP law and order Bimal Kumar, Tax Daroga Santosh Kumar, Jugsalai Municipality City Manager Abhishek Rahul, Jugsalai OC KN Ram, Vimal Jalan and Deepak Bhalotia.
