Jamshedpur: Ahead of the Chhath festival, the district administration has launched a cleanliness drive for Chhath Ghats. As part of this effort, SDO Dhalbhum, Piyush Sinha, conducted inspections at the Mahakaleshwar Chhath Ghat in Jugsalai and the Baroda Ghat in Bagbera on Friday.
During the inspections, instructions were issued to the relevant officers to ensure the cleanliness of the ghats, repair the approach roads leading to the Chhath Ghats, and apply bleaching powder in the vicinity of the Chhath Ghats.
In the presence of District Councillor Kavita Parmar, who was on-site, a request was made to the SDO for the repair of the road leading to Baroda Ghat. Additionally, members of the Mahakaleshwar Chhath Ghat Committee assured that all necessary facilities would be provided for devotees during the festival.
Also present during the inspections were Jamshepur CO Manoj Kumar, Block Development Officer Sachchidanand, along with other committee members.
