Jamshedpur: In a bid to ensure a peaceful and malpractice-free conduct of the annual secondary and intermediate examinations organized by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Sub-divisional Officer (SDO) of Dhalbhum, Shatabdi Majumdar, conducted a surprise inspection of Matric Board Examination Centres in the Jamshedpur urban area. During the inspection, she assessed the law and order situation and issued necessary guidelines to ensure a transparent and fair examination process.

This initiative is part of a series of inspections being conducted by the SDO, LRDCC, Block Development Officers (BDO), and Circle Officers (CO) across various examination centers. The District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner has directed all officials to remain vigilant, conduct surprise inspections, and ensure the smooth and successful completion of the examinations.

During her visit, SDO Shatabdi Majumdar emphasized strict adherence to examination protocols. She instructed teachers that no more than two students should be seated on a single bench, ensuring adequate spacing to prevent any unfair practices. She also reiterated that mobile phones, smartwatches, headphones, and other banned electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.

To maintain the integrity of the examination process, the SDO instructed the deployed police force to carry out thorough checks on students in both the first and second shifts before allowing them into the examination hall. This precautionary measure aims to eliminate any scope for malpractice and uphold the sanctity of the examination.
“ The inspection reflects the administration’s commitment to maintaining a transparent examination process. It also serves as a stern warning against any attempts at unfair practices, reinforcing the importance of discipline and integrity in academic evaluations. With such proactive measures in place, the district administration aims to create a conducive environment for students to appear for their exams without any stress or fear of malpractices,” said an official.
