Jamshedpur, August 1: A special screening of the film ‘Maha Avtar Narsingh’ was held on Friday at Mirage Cinema Hall in Golmuri, courtesy of noted social worker and Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit’s fan, Pappu Sardar. The event was organized exclusively for the disabled children of Cheshire Home, members of the transgender community and devotees from the ISKCON temple.
The screening, held during the auspicious month of Sawan, featured a film based on the Vishnu Puran, showcasing the divine tale of Lord Vishnu’s Narsingh Avatar. Before the film began, the cinema hall echoed with “Hare Rama-Hare Krishna” Kirtan, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Vishnu Kumar Das, a member of the Hari Kirtan Samiti, remarked, “After many years, such a beautiful film based on Sanatan Dharma has been made. Thanks to Pappu Sardar, we got the opportunity to experience it, and having special children with us made the moment even more memorable.”
Speaking to the media, Pappu Sardar stated, “Madhuri Dixit is like a sister to me, and inspired by her values, I took the initiative to organize this screening. My aim is to connect physically and mentally challenged children, as well as ISKCON priests, with the essence of Sanatan Dharma.” He further added that the film strengthened faith and devotion towards Lord Vishnu.
This event transcended being just a movie screening — it became a powerful symbol of faith, compassion, and social inclusion.
