Scouts’ training to 37 Tangerine Upgraded ME School students

Jamshedpur, Sept 22: Thirty seven students of Upgraded Tangerine Middle School attended the first and second tier Scouts and Guides training programme organized at the district headquarters of Bharat Scouts and Guides in Sakchi. The Tangrine Middle School volunteers underwent training in recognition and motto of the scout symbol, prayer song, flag hoisting, scout pledge, scout regulation, duties and responsibilities, first aid, tent erection, march past, social service and recognition of parents as gurus. The scouts were also provided details on self reliance.

Tangrine Upgraded Middle School Headmaster Arvind Tiwari informed that this was the only government school where students were provided Scout training at the primary level. At the same time, Arvind Tiwari pointed out certain constraints when he said, “Due to the cost of commuting and dress, students of government schools are not able to participate in the training, but the social organization, Young Indians came forward with spontaneous help that enabled 37 students of our school to take the Scouts and Guides training.”

The Headmaster expressed his gratitude and thanks to social organization, Young Indians for support.
