Scouting classes started in Tangrain Upgraded Middle School

Jamshedpur: A scouts and guide unit has been started in Upgraded Middle School, Tangrain, in Potka. This was informed today by the district organizational secretary of Bharat Scout and Guide Naresh Kumar. He said it is the first government school in the district where classes are being held for scouts and guides.

The headmaster of the school Arbind Tiwary who took the initiative to start the scouts and guides unit said providing uniforms to the children is a major issue. He said he is putting in efforts to get uniforms for the kids. He said the physical, mental and intellectual growth of children is the purpose behind starting scouting in the school so that the children grow up as responsible citizens.

The school children are being trained by President�s Award winner Daya Shankar Mishra and Sonali Chakravarty. The teachers Amal Kumar Dikshit, Sumita Munda, Vishwajeet Sardar and Sanat Mandal are also playing active role in training the students.

Local villagers including the village head Mangal Pan, academician Jai Hari Singh Munda, Ujjwal Munda, former Mukhiya Rajaram Munda, school management committee president Surai Manjhi and ward member Mogla Manjhi have praised the school headmaster for starting the scouting unit.
