Scorching sun fails to dampen crowds spirit

Jamshedpur, April 24: The hot and humid conditions prevailing in the steel city failed to dampen the spirits of people, as a large crowd gathered at the JRD Tata Sports Complex to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the concluding function of Gramoday se Bharat Uday program on Sunday.

The crowd walked 1.5 km to the venue to listen to PM Modi as drop gates were erected due to security purpose.

People parked their vehicle far off from the JRD Tata Sports Complex and walked to the venue as the temperature kept hovering around 45C.

The water arrangements at the venue kept the crowds throat wet. The gallery was equipped with floor mats, tents were spacious and enough ceiling fans to beat the heat.

Chief Minister Raghubar Das had issued instructions to the administration to make medical arrangements in case any delegate fell sick.

I have come all the way from Musabani to hear Prime Minister Narendra Modi address the country from Jamshedpur, which in itself is a matter of great recognition for Jharkhand.

The temperature is high, but I wanted to listen to Modi live from a very long time, said Pradip Murmu.
