Scooter rider dies in Jamshedpur road accident, friend critical

Jamshedpur, Feb 28: A road accident claimed the life of 22-year-old Aniket Singh, a resident of Birsanagar Zone No. 2, on Thursday night. His friend, Akshit’s brother Anurag, who was riding pillion, sustained severe injuries.

According to police sources, Aniket and Anurag were returning from Peepla on NH-33 when their scooty collided with a parked trailer near Gurma, under MGM police station limits.

Aniket was immediately rushed to MGM Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. His father, Praful Kumar Singh, shared his grief, stating, “He was pursuing B.Tech from Galudih after completing his diploma from Al-Kabir and had come home on vacation. He had just told us he was visiting a friend.”

The police have conducted a post-mortem and handed over the body to the grieving family.
