Scooter rally on traffic awareness in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Feb 20: Surabhi, the women’s wing of Marwari Yuva Manch steel city, on Sunday launched a traffic norms awareness programme. The scooter rally took off from the Modi Park and went around several areas. The team comprised 16 members on eight scooters. They made citizens aware of the do’s and don’ts of traffic norms. The Surabhi team tried to impress on citizens that it was always better to be late than never. President Manisha asked people to wear masks and helmets for many accidents had been reported of road accidents due to negligent driving and serious head injuries for not wearing helmets. For car riders, the Surabhi team stated that car riders too should use seat belts and in general, should obey all traffic rules including traffic signals at city points. The women’s team made people aware of the rules of road safety and the measures to prevent road accidents. Secretary Kavita Agarwal said that in most cases of road accidents in the country, the injured died due to non-adherence to traffic rules. Parul Chetani of Surabhi explained, “The purpose of this Scooter Awareness Traffic Rally is to make people aware of the importance of using life savers like helmets and seatbelts and following all traffic norms with patience. These rules have been made for every individual’s safety.” The team included Usha Chaudhary, Suman Jhajharia, Jyoti Agarwal, Asha Agarwal, Muskan Agarwal, Sunita Kedia, Pinky Kedia, Sona Dokania and other Surabhi members.
