Science exhibition at Srinath University

Jamshedpur, Feb 17: A science exhibition was organized at Srinath University by the students of various departments of the institution including School of Engineering, School of Commerce and Management, School of Education, School of IT and School of Humanities. The exhibits reflected the scientific zeal and temperament of the participants. The exhibits included air purifier, smart village and city, charcoal refrigerator, radio transmitter, infinity mirror, laser security alarm, eco friendly vehicle among others. The ingenuity behind the exhibits displayed by the Srinath University students came in for appreciation by visitors.

One of the senior students said, “The exhibits on display were the results of sharing and exchanging of innovative ideas that could accelerate the process of a safer and cleaner environment. Almost all the exhibits featured gadgets of daily use that were eco friendly.”

The judges, Dr Sanjay Bhuinya the  HOD of the Department of Education, Jamshedpur Women’s University and Dr Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, Principal, RVS College of Engineering who were welcomed by the Vice Chancellor of Srinath University Dr Gobind Mahato were presented saplings.  Both judges appreciated the students for their innovative ideas and hard work. The Vice Chancellor of Srinath University informed that the exhibits were prepared in a very brief time span but the uniqueness of these high utility models was exposure of ingenious minds.  

The B-tech students whose model was based ‘Lake Cleaner and Water Level Indicator’ bagged the first prize, the B Ed students with their models ‘Global Civil Society’ and ‘Hydroelectricity Dam’ walked away with the second and third prizes respectively. The winners were presented prizes and certificates. Asst Prof Shashikant Singh conducted the programme while the vote of thanks was offered by Dr Debopriya Sarkar.
