Schools flout orders norms of RTE

Saraikela: Though DC Chandrashekhar had asked education department officials to probe the alleged irrational fee hike made by the private schools this year and of defying the order of State Government to not take readmission fee.

DEO and DSE have been given the task to submit a report on this issue. But still the private schools have failed to pay heed to matter.

The private schools have failed follow the rules of RTE. At the meeting he had ordered that all school operators should inspect registers the last three years so that they can be identified in which the fees are for items and what facilities it has to redeem.

Similarly, under the provision of BPL students should be admitted in schools. The meeting was called to communicate well with the schools and to let them understand the act in detail.

DC while explaining the points of the RTE Act explained that schools who have been given land on lease or a sub lease will be treated as aided schools and not unaided schools. Also he explained how schools should form a school management committee (SMC) under the act which will act as the first forum for grievances.
