Ranchi, Nov. 14: Laying emphasis on the study and use of information technology (IT) while inaugurating the ‘audio-visual quiz round of Uddan-2015’ at Dr. Ramdayal Munda Stadium at Hotwar, Ranchi, Chief Minister Mr. Raghubar Das said that intelligent students will be given scholarship to pursue their studies further.
He appealed to the students to increase their knowledge and said that the coming years will be theirs. According to the Chief Minister, the PDS has improved a great deal with the use of IT and said that the beneficiaries will be able to take their ration anywhere through biometric system. He also said that the online mutation will be implemented from 2016, adding that land for an IIIT has already been allotted.
A whopping 80,234 students from government as well as private schools participated in ‘Uddan 2015,’ while 1332 students participated in the online competition for the last phase. The successful participants will be awarded. The CM expressed his happiness over participation of children from far off areas. He hoped that Jharkhand will reach its apex in the field of IT.
IT secretary Mr. Sunil Kr. Burnwal, IT director Mr. Umesh Shah, Mr. Mukesh from Computer Society of India, and Mr. Sanjay Jain of Mica Education were present on this occasion.
