Police department will be modernized: CM

Ranchi, Nov. 14: Chief Minister Mr. Raghubar Das said that the government is trying to modernize the police department.

The government is considering giving allowances to the police staff on duty during holidays. He said that all the districts of the state will have PCR Van and highway patrolling system by 2016. He said it while addressing investiture ceremony 2015 at JAP-1 program on Saturday.

Expressing deep condolence over the death of police staff/officers in Naxal insurgency, the CM assured to assist the family of the martyrs. He said that officers and staff of all departments are working in coordination in developing Jharkhand.

Offering appointment letters to ex- Naxlite dasta member Miss Balmuni, the CM said that the government is committed to bring all the misguided youths in the mainstream. He appealed to the misguided youths to come in the mainstream and said that bullets are not remedy to any problems.

He facilitated 60 police personnel with the President Award, Gallantry Award and Appreciation letter. Simultaneously, he inaugurated 43 newly built buildings/ police stations constructed by JPHCL and Investigation Training School online. Apart from awarding police data center, the CM flagged off patrolling vehicles at Jamshedpur.

On the occasion of investiture ceremony, a 4 minute movie was unveiled on ARMER and Child Friendly Police Station each.

Additional Chief Secretary Mr. N. N. Pandey, DGP Mr. D. K. Pandey, A.D. G. Mr. Rezi Dundung, Mr. Anurag Gupta, Mr. Ajay Bhatnagar, Mr. S.N. Pradhan and police staff in great number were present.
