Jamshedpur: District Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD) launched a scheme literacy campaign in Upgraded Middle School, Tangrain, in Potka on Saturday.
Under the first phase of the campaign, 30 students of the school were selected for spreading information about government schemes in the remotely situated villages of the block. The students would spread the message through street plays, painting and other media.
In the first phase, the students would be given training on organizing Nukkad Natak (street-corner plays) and Sohrai painting. The students from other adjoining schools would also participate in the training programme. This was informed by Gautam Gope of Kaladham and Bhavesh Kumar Shamra of IPRD.
Among others present on the occasion included Mangal Paan, Mangal Manjhi, Surai Manjhi, Ujjwal Mandal, Chandan Mandal, Main Singh Sardar, Chandana Mandal and Pramod Kumar.
