Jamshedpur, March 27: A joint meeting of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industries (SCCI) and food-grain traders of the city was convened at Chamber Bhavan, Bistupur, on Sunday. It was decided to meet Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais and request him to exempt the traders from paying market fee to the state government through the market committee.
Chamber president Vijay Anand Moonka said imposing market fee on the traders would bring back ‘Inspector Raj’ regime and promote corruption. He said the people were already reeling under inflation. He said he had requested Chief Minister Hemant Soren to take considerate view of the traders’ concern and exempt them from paying market fee.
