SCCI Premier League Cricket tourney on May 30-31

Jamshedpur, May 29:  A two-day Premier League Cricket tournament will be organized by Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) at the Gopal Maidan in Bistupur on May 30 and 31. The tournament will be inaugurated by Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Tata Steel Corporate Services, on Monday, May 30, at 3.45 pm.

SCCI, besides its commitment to business and industrial pursuits, it intermittently organizes sporting events to provide a health break to the members from mental and professional time schedules. With this factor in mind, the two-day cricket tournament is being organized by SCCI solely for the members. There was a huge response from the SCCI members to a call of applications for participation so that teams could be formed for the two-day cricket tourney commencing on May 30. The large number of applications made the SCCI top brass decided on conducting a lottery for the formation of teams comprising only members. The lottery led to selection of member players for six teams that include President’s -11, General Secretary’s -11, Tax and Finance -11, PRW-11, Trade and Commerce-11 and Industry-11.

SCCI President Vijay Anand Moonka and Vice President (Public Relations and Welfare) Mukesh Mittal have urged all the members of the Chamber to witness the matches to be played over two days commencing Monday, May 30.
