Jamshedpur: Incessant rain that lashed the city on July 17 has led to water logging in the low-lying areas and affected normal life. The condition was worst at Tatanagar Railway Station parking as the area which has large potholes is flooded with rain water. Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) have taken up the matter with the Divisional Railway manager.
In a letter to Chhatrasal Singh, Divisional Railway manager, South Eastern Railway, CKP Division, Chakradharpur, Vijay Anand Moonka, general secretary, SCCI, said, presently the condition of parking area at Tatanagar railway station is worst as maximum floor area is having big pot holes which cause great inconvenience to the passengers.
The letter further stated, ‘On one hand it takes extra time to enter and exit, maximum time long queues are there and the passengers who park their vehicles and move towards platform gets wet and filthy. Under the light of above facts we request you to kindly arrange immediate relaying / repairing of the floor areas of Tatanagar railway parking’.
