Jamshedpur, Dec 1: Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribal Vikas Sangh members announced support for Independent candidate from Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency Saryu Roy on Sunday. The outfit president Rekha Mukhi said the SC and ST leaders of various localities in the constituency had decided to support Roy in the upcoming elections. She said the SC and ST communities want Roy to win the election for overall development of the constituency. She asked outfit leaders to spread awareness among voters to exercise their voting rights without fail on 7th December.
Rekha Mukhi and other leaders visited Bhalubasa Harijan Basti, Tinplate Harijan Basti, Cable Harijan Basti, Burmamines and Tube Harijan Basti. They appealed to voters to support Roy.
Among those present during the campaign included Nitin Mukhi, Narayan Mukhi, Santosh Mukhi, Suraj Mukhi, Satyanarayan Mukhi, Chandan Mukhi, Ravi Mukhi, Rajni Kalindi, Rupa Kalindi, Sapna Kalindi and Sunita Bodra.
