Sawan Festival at Vijaya Garden Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 21: An air of festivity marked the sixth Sawan Mahotsav celebrations organized by Vijaya Garden (Baridih) Women’s Club at the Club House. Several cultural programmes including Sawan Queen Competition, mother and daughter-in-law sweet conversations were top draws on the occasion. In the Sawan Queen competition, the winner, first and second runners up were presented attractive gifts. The Sawan Queen was presented the crown by the winner of 2021 competition. There were 10 competitors in the fray for the Sawan Queen crown and each competitor had to go through five stages and the winners of each stage right up to the winner of the final stage were given gifts.

The welcome address was delivered by Vimla Singh and the entire programme was anchored by Swati Pattanaik. Media person of the Baridih Vijaya Garden Women’s Club, Sangita Mishra provided information to the print and electronic media.

The participating women were the cynosures of the audience with their saffron coloured sarees and green blouses.

The Women’s Club team of Sawan Mahotsav organizers included Vimla Singh, Swati Pattanaik, Sneha Srivastava, Sangita Mishra, Preeti Verma, Ranju Prakash, Ankita Chandra, Uma, Pinky, Mita Pal, Amrita, Sushma and all other ladies of Vijaya Garden.
