Jamshedpur, Nov. 28 : BJP rebel leader and sitting MLA from Jamshedpur West now contesting the Vidhan Sabha polls as an Independent candidate from Jamshedpur East, Saryu Roy today opened the second chapter of his �Poll Khol Abhiyan.�
Addressing the media at his Bistupur residence, Saryu Roy alleged that Sonari-based Khemraj Sahu had given a friendly loan of Rs 15 lakh in cash to another youth Manish Das also of Sonari, on November 14, 2016, barely a few days after demonetisation was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8, 2016.
�I have valid documents to prove that Khemraj Sahu, in return for giving a loan of Rs 15 lakh to Manish Das who was in need of money, had pressurized him to give him the documents related to his uncle, Prem Das� property worth Rs 26 lakh on the assurance that the papers would be returned after repayment of the loan amount. However, after a year whenever Manish Das tried to return the money, Khemraj Sahu threatened them (Manish Das and Prem Das) with dire consequences if they did not hand transfer the property to him,� alleged Saryu Roy who also showed a copy of the complaint letter that Manish Das had lodged with the East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner in March 2019.
Saryu further questioned Khemraj Sahu occupying a Tata Steel quarter in Kadma.
� It is really surprising that Khemraj Sahu who has his house in Sonari, is occupying a Tata Steel quarter in Kadma although he is not an employee of Tata Steel. I would like to know in which capacity Tata Steel has allotted the quarter to Khemraj Sahu,� asked Roy.
